Kondis, Ikea’s cookbook iPhone app, delivers all the staggeringly cool ingredient photography of the original cookbook — plus the recipes — with the brilliant addition of an exercise component. Just pick which dessert you’re going to make, then select whether you prefer walking, jogging, or biking; then you have to work off the calories in a serving of your Kanelbulle or Prinsesstårta, while a helpful voice informs you exactly how many miles you have to go until you’ve earned that slice of cake.

Dennis Crowley, co-founder of location based social network Foursquare, told attendees of the Picnic conference in Amsterdam today that the company has built a feature that recommends new locations users ought to visit, based on their past activity, their to-do lists and what’s popular at the moment.

The new augmented reality function of Plane Finder, an iPhone application, allows users to view data about planes in the sky by pointing their phone upward. If the spotted planes carry ADS-B data, the app can read and display information such as destination and speed.
